WEIBUILD Attends European Academic Summit on Construction Robotics
On November 26th, local time in Regensburg, Germany, the OTH Building Lab hosted a one-day symposium and workshop on construction robotics, welcoming 45 attendees from around the globe. Dr. Mao Jiazhen, CTO of WEIBUILD Technology, was invited to attend this prestigious event.
This event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including companies, universities, research institutions, contractors, subcontractors, technology and robotics firms, software companies, industry associations, and government agencies. Participants came from regions such as Regensburg and its surroundings, Constance, Munich, Karlsruhe, Frankfurt, London, Singapore, Japan, China, Spain, Canada, Poland, and Austria. The gathering of scholars and industry experts enriched the discussions with a wide array of perspectives and experiences.
The day's agenda was tightly focused on various aspects of construction robotics. Morning sessions covered topics such as lean construction using robotic systems, digital twins, ergonomic systems, blockchain technology, and case studies from Europe and Asia. These presentations laid a solid foundation for the afternoon workshops. In a brainstorming format, attendees were divided into groups to discuss four key issues and chart future collaborative actions:
- Matching and prioritizing construction processes with different types of robots
- Grading and prioritizing software and hardware technologies for construction robots
- Considering human factors in the development and application of construction robots
- Business models for construction robotics
Dr. Mao Jiazhen introduced WEIBUILD’s product technology roadmap and development strategy for construction robots, sharing practical examples of their application in projects. He highlighted the efficiency and operational standards of WEIBUILD’s construction robots, providing valuable insights that were highly praised by attendees, including Professor Thomas Bock.
Looking ahead, WEIBUILD Technology will continue to refine its products and accelerate its international market expansion, aiming to bring Chinese construction robots to the global stage and strive toward the goal of popularizing an efficient and intelligent construction system worldwide. WEIBUILD looks forward to deepening cooperation with more international partners to jointly explore boundless possibilities in the international market.
