Singapore's Building and Construction Authority and Industry Executives Visit WEIBUILD

On June 19, 2024, a delegation led by Deputy Chief Executive of Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Mr. Tan Chee Kiat, visited WEIBUILD Technology in Shanghai. The delegation comprised approximately 30 senior leaders from key Singaporean organizations including the Housing & Development Board (HDB), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), Land Transport Authority (LTA), Ministry of Education (MOE), Changi Airport Group (CAG), and the Smart & Technology Policy Programme Office (S&TPPO) under the Prime Minister's Office. Additionally, senior management from several leading local developers and construction companies in Singapore were also part of the visit.

The guests began their day with a tour of WEIBUILD Technology's laboratory, followed by a symposium held at the Beijiao Future Industrial Park where WEIBUILD is located. During the discussions, both parties engaged in extensive exchanges on the development models and technological pathways of digital construction, achieving significant consensus on development philosophies and practical approaches. The Singaporean visitors expressed approval of WEIBUILD’s building robots and its overseas expansion strategy. WEIBUILD Technology also conveyed its intention to further penetrate the Singapore market and actively expand its international business.

Both sides agreed to pursue broad and comprehensive cooperation in the application, service, research, and system development of construction robots. Deputy CEO Tan Chee Kiat concluded the visit by extending best wishes to WEIBUILD Technology on behalf of the delegation and presented a meaningful gift to Dr. Liang, CEO of WEIBUILD Technology.

WEIBUILD Technology's plastering robots and wall spraying robots made their debut in Singapore in April 2024. These robots have completed functional validations across multiple projects in Singapore and have since been continuously applied in engineering works. To date, they have covered nearly ten thousand square meters of construction area, with their efficiency, quality, and coverage receiving positive evaluations from industry professionals. This has not only sparked widespread interest but also secured continuous order renewals.
