WEIBUILD and Hong Kong Construction Technology Institute Discuss Future Collaboration
February 27 – A delegation led by Acting Executive Director of the Hong Kong Construction Technology Institute (HKCTI), Josephine Chow, and Deputy Director of Shanghai Urban Construction Design & Research Institute (HK Branch), Guo Ji, visited WEIBUILD Technology's Shanghai headquarters for a technical exchange. WEIBUILD's founder and CEO, Dr. Yanxue Liang, and Zhang Feng, General Manager of WEIBUILD Engineering Company, warmly welcomed the delegation and engaged in in-depth discussions on construction technology innovation and smart transformation.
During the visit, the delegation toured WEIBUILDs laboratories and observed its intelligent construction equipment, including plastering and spraying robots. WEIBUILD's construction robots showcased breakthroughs in AI reinforcement learning algorithms and automated control technologies, enabling precise and efficient construction tasks that significantly improve productivity and quality. The delegation expressed strong interest in WEIBUILD's digital intelligent construction innovations and engaged Dr. Liang in detailed discussions on technical specifics and application scenarios.
In a subsequent seminar, Dr. Liang provided a comprehensive overview of WEIBUILD's proprietary technologies, including its plastering and spraying robots, as well as its digital solutions. WEIBUILD emphasized its commitment to driving technological innovation in the construction sector and highlighted the potential for collaboration with HKCTI to explore new pathways for construction technology development and industry transformation.
Josephine Chow praised WEIBUILD's achievements in construction technology, noting that HKCTI, a wholly owned entity by Hong Kong's Financial Secretary's Corporation, gathers elite industry talent to advance R&D and application of construction technologies. She proposed comprehensive collaboration in talent cultivation, technical research, and project partnerships to accelerate the industry's smart and digital transformation.
The two parties reached broad consensus on construction innovation, technology commercialization, and industry digitalization. The exchange not only deepened mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration.
